The paddle steamer Gisela
The Gisela is one of the oldest steamers in the world, built in 1871 and has an oscillating compound steam engine. You can observe the engine as well as the machinists from the deck.
It has been 150 years since one of the oldest paddle steamers in the world (built in 1871), the flagship of Traunseeschifffahrt, the steamer Gisela, had its first trip across Lake Traunsee.
The Gisela is more than just a ship, she tours the Traunsee in July and August on Sundays with 2 trips in all weather conditions around and you can book her for events as a unique experience.
